The World Wide Web has become an increasingly valuable resource for historians. Unfortunately finding one's way through the web is often frustrating and confusing. Here are some sites that may assist you in beginning your search.
Scholars' Guide to WWW
Here Richard Jensen, an historian, has
gathered together a large collection of sites that would be of interest
to scholars of all persuasion; although, given his background, the
materials seem to favor history. This is probably the best place to
begin your search. The Internet Modern History Sourcebook is a vast collection of sources in history available on the web. It is worldwide in scope but has enough material for the European historian to make it worthwhile. The history department at Tennessee Tech has put together a web page that is primarily designed for undergraduate history majors, but it contains a wealth of material for scholars at all levels. The
History
Journals Guide lists history journals from all over the world.
We would welcome your
suggestions for web sites you have found that might be useful for
European historians. Please contact me directly:
